Options dialog box—Hot keys tab
DragonBar>Tools>Options>Hot keys tab
Use the Hot keys tab to change or remove hot key assignments. Changing these options affects only the current user profile.
Hot key | Description |
---|---|
Microphone on/off |
Turns Dragon's microphone on and off. Default value: Plus key (+) on the numeric keypad |
Correction |
Opens the Correction menu. Default value: Minus key (-) on the numeric keypad Note: You cannot open the Correction menu using a hot key when you are working in Web applications. |
Force command recognition |
Forces Dragon to recognize words as commands rather than dictation. Default value: CTRL key |
Force dictation recognition |
Forces Dragon to recognize words as dictation rather than commands. Default value: SHIFT key |
DragonBar menu |
Opens the DragonBar Profile menu. Default value: Asterisk key (*) on the numeric keypad Note: To use with the New DragonBar, the DragonBar must not be collapsed. |
Microphone sleep/on |
Puts Dragon's microphone to sleep and wakes it up. Default value: Forward slash key (/) on the numeric keypad. |
Press-to-talk |
Allows you to talk to Dragon while you hold down the key. Dragon stops listening when you release the key. Default value: none |
DictationBox |
Opens the Dictation Box. Default value: CTRL + SHIFT + D |
Playback |
Plays back dictation. Default value: SHIFT key and the minus sign (-) on the numeric keypad |
Fast Playback |
Increases the playback speed. Default value: SHIFT key and the plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad |
Next Field |
Selects the next variable field (Voice field) in an auto-text. Default value: CTRL + SHIFT + N |
Editing hot keys
To edit the default hot key combination:
- Select a hot key.
- Click Edit.
The Set Hot Key dialog box opens. - Press the key combination.
- Click OK.
Restoring default hot key values
To remove custom values from the hot keys and restore Dragon's initial hot key settings, click Restore defaults.
