As part of this evolution to improve performance and security and provide better user experiences, we are shifting to Dragon Medical One, Nuance's cloud-based speech recognition solution. Dragon Medical One offers significant benefits over locally installed speech recognition, including an enhanced user experience when capturing the patient story. Seamlessly move between different devices with all your personalization readily available, and with PowerMic Mobile, use your smartphone as a convenient, wireless mic.
As a result of the shift to Dragon Medical One, Dragon Medical Practice Edition (DMPE) in North America is no longer sold or supported as of March 31, 2022.
- Dragon Medical Practice Edition ended sales on March 31, 2021.
- Dragon Medical Practice Edition's maintenance and support contracts were not available for purchase or renewal after March 31, 2021.
- Support for Dragon Medical Practice Edition ended on March 31, 2022.
- Dragon Medical Practice Edition will not be tested or supported on Windows 11.
The end of maintenance and support means that Nuance will not prevent or resolve any security issues that may arise for DMPE. If you choose to continue to use DMPE without support, you do so at your own risk; Nuance will not be responsible for any security incidents, breaches, or other security failures.

Dragon Medical One users can access their single voice profile through the cloud for anytime, anywhere dictation.
