The OmniPage Capture SDK includes a full suite of recognition technologies. These recognition technologies are licensed to the owner of the kits and are intended for use during testing and development. Once a developer's application has been created, the developer must purchase additional recognition technology (runtime) licenses to distribute Nuance's recognition technology along with their application.

Nuance has created recognition technology license packs starting at a single license and scaling up in preset quantities. Depending on the recognition technologies that needs to distribute with their application, a developer would purchase the recognition technology license packs that are needed directly from Nuance. As an alternative to purchasing technology packs, a developer who plans for a large-scale implementation of their solution may be qualified to enter into an OEM contract (see below).

OEM agreements are available for developers who are distributing larger volumes of Nuance recognition technologies along with their applications. Typically, they involve a yearly commitment to a larger volume of recognition technologies at a set price. For additional details, please contact Nuance OEM Sales.

The OmniPage Capture SDK includes an integrated License Manager to enable OCR, ICR, barcode and other recognition engine functionality.

All recognition functionality is enabled through the use of Authorization and Product code pairs which are either shipped from Nuance with the product binder or emailed from Technical Support separately. These two numbers uniquely identify your OmniPage Capture SDK purchase.
