The agreement includes localized versions of ScanSoft's products in North America and Europe.

ScanSoft PaperPort is the world's best-selling paper and document management application for the PC, and ScanSoft OmniForm is the world's best-selling paper-to-electronic forms solution. Both products give users the timesaving benefits and sophisticated imaging capabilities used by thousands of leading corporate, academic and government organizations, including Merrill-Lynch, Palm Beach County School District and the Internal Revenue Service.

Designed for users in government, corporate departments and in small- and medium-sized businesses, the HP Scanjet 8200 series delivers the highest image quality in its class with support for 4800 dpi and 48-bit-color scanning and includes models that feature an automatic document feeder that scans at up to 25 pages per minute for production jobs.
