As handsets become more loaded with new functionalities, they become harder to master and any new features - even simple tasks such as making a phone call – requires lengthy search and many clicks. As an example, dialling a name from your address book will require on average 13 clicks. Speech recognition and text-to-speech can now be embedded in a handset to provide a powerful way to access in a simple and intuitive ways all these new functions that are now on the fingertips of all mobile users.
