What is the Internal Dialer?
The Internal Dialer is a stand-alone, speech enable auto attendant. It is designed specifically for fast, efficient employee-to-employee communications —without the hassle of searching for phone numbers or waiting to speak to an operator.

Can the Internal Dialer be used frontline?

No, the Internal Dialer is designed to handle employee to employee communication for the following types of calls;

  • Internal Calling – Desk to Desk
  • Cellular Phone menu-Employee can easily reach each other on their cellular phone

Off site employees can also use the Internal Dialer to reach their colleagues If you whish to have a Speech Enabled Auto Attendant front line you will need to purchase the SpeechAttendant or OpenSpeechAttendant product.

What types of integration are available?
The Internal Dialer can integrate to almost any type of PBX or Centrex line through digital, analog and SIP ports. It can also integrate to a number of IVR platforms through VXML. How do I expand the Internal Dialer after initial purchase?
Internal Dialer can be expanded in increments of 4 Ports, to a maximum of 16 ports, in order to be able to handle a higher volume of calls. Directory Names can also be increased to accommodate a larger employee base, to a maximum of 100,000 names.

What if after initial purchase of the Internal Dialer my organization would like to use it Front line to handle external calls?
It is very easy to extend the Internal Dialer to a full blown auto attendant by purchasing SpeechAttendant software port. Nuance professional service group will work with the Internal Dialer administrator from your organization to build the Voice User Interface which includes the creation of Menus. In most case the upgrade to SpeechAttendant will be done remotely.
